From the 23rd January 2012 the multiple choice question bank will no longer be made publicly available. This is to help candidates gain a deeper understanding of driving theory and is seen as a positive move.
The theory test consists of 50 multiple choice questions, 5 of which are in a case study format. You will need to answer questions 43 or more correctly in 57 minutes, followed by a hazard perception test, to pass this part of the test you will need to score 44 or more out of a possible 75 points. Both parts of the theory test must be passed at the same sitting.

The driving test is straightforward, it is designed to see if you can drive safely, and demonstrate your knowledge of the highway code through your driving, the driving test now includes the show me/tell me element and a short section of independent driving. Don't let this worry you, as it will be incorporated into your training at the correct stage.
